What We Call Bronchial Asthma
While the other pages on this site usually deal with asthma in general, this page is more dedicated to prevention methods. This page describes the condition which we call “bronchial asthma”, which is a fancier term, if you will, for asthma. Perhaps you have heard of the term “bronchial” but haven't seen it connected with asthma. Basically this specific condition causes disruptions on your lungs and can obstruct ventilation in certain air shafts of your lungs. Those who suffer from bronchial asthma feel like they are no longer absorbing oxygen. This can cause anxiety and other related problems. Asthma treatment methods in general should be sufficient in dealing with bronchial asthma. If you haven't read the other pages on this site then let's quickly describe asthma. Asthma seriously affects the physical, and at times mental, abilities of affected people. Controlling your asthma situation is one of the more important methods in making your life easier and more pleasant.
Asthma attacks occur when your lungs are irritated by whatever you are allergic to - this is usually dust particles, or pet hairs. Can all asthma attacks be avoided? So far no medicine or treatment method has fully annihilated asthma. What you can do with proper training is reduce the chances of an attack occurring.
Many people lead more relaxing lives now that they know how to at least minimise the disruptive nature of asthma attacks.
Obviously it's important to avoid situations in which your asthma attack is triggered. Keeping your house clean and having proper air circulation will help loads. If you have pets, don't let them into your bedroom. Keep at least the bedroom free of animal hair, as this is the place you spend a good one third of the day in.
The fact is that literally tens of millions of people all over the world have some form of asthma. And although treatment methods and diagnosis has increased in effectiveness, there is still a long way to go. Asthma requires you to really get to know your own body. What causes my attacks? Can I do this without being short of breath? Avoiding triggers will demand a lot of discipline from you. But eventually it becomes second nature to you, and you will thank yourself for being so disciplined.
